• These are my favorite travel guides. I've used them for Vietnam, Angkor Wat, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, and a few other places. They give you a snippets of information and facts, elaborate where necessary, and show diagrams, maps, photos, and give you practical information about what to expect, the customs of the culture you're visiting, etc. I find I can get any information I need online, of course, but I like having something to read ahead of preparing for a trip at home. Cuba isn't known for having easy access to wifi, so that's good to know - this way any maps, etc. can be downloaded in advance. All just very helpful information and printed on thick, glossy pages. They're a little on the heavy side, but not thick so it can be overlooked. I have several on my Wish List to buy in succession after finishing this one and deciding where to go after that.
• We took a trip to Havana with a group on 10 people, ranging in age from 4 months to 60 years, so there was a ton of planning for the trip. We're American as well, so that added a whole other level of complexity. I bought four travel books about Cuba, and this was by far the best one.
  
  First, the practical tips were extremely helpful. I was glad we got the book a few months before our trip so we could read all the tips and tricks. It saved us a lot of time and hassle on the back end.
  
  Second, the maps were great and I liked how the neighborhoods of Havana were broken out into separate sections. I've found that the DK travel guides work really well for structured exploring, and this one was no different. We spent one day exploring Vedado, one in Central Havana, and one in Havana Vieja. The guide book had good suggestions for the hot spots to hit in each neighborhood with good maps that made it easy to wander off the beaten path.
  
  For US residents, this book has enough detail about all of the various kinds of restaurants and B&Bs to allow you to meet our sanctions requirements. We also used the book as our source of truth, marking each site we visited and which day we were there. That way, we can easily track our activities if OFAC requests our documentation. This will NOT get you all the way there though. Make sure you are doing all of your research before you go. There are lots of requirements.
  
  Overall, I'd buy this book again and I've recommended it to a few friends who are taking trips later this year.
• Because I wanted to read up a bit on Cuba before visiting the country, a friend loaned me her copy of DK’s Eyewitness Travel Guide. After 15 minutes of browsing, I ordered my own copy so I could mark it up. I took a group tour, so I didn’t use some sections (where to stay and eat). However, the general information sections and the ones about the areas I visited are now thoroughly highlighted and dog-eared along with scrawled notes. If you want in depth information, you might want to consider something longer, but I’ve traveled a lot internationally and I can say I definitely got my money’s worth with DK’s Cuba guide.
• We just got back from 10 days in Cuba and used this book, the Moon guide, and Conner Gory's 101 Things Every Woman Must Do in Cuba. The latter was the best and this one was the worst. It's like this guide was written by someone who had never been to Cuba. The itineraries are ridiculous. In Cuba, everything takes longer than one might think due to the government and the cultural norms that change the pace of life little internet, meals that last 2 hours, lack of a subway system. DK at one point suggests that the reader go to 6 museums in one day! The other aspect of this style of travel writing is that it almost wants the traveler to NOT engage or meet with any Cubans in Cuba. Cuba is a spontaneous country and making down to the minute plans is just not possible when the country simply moves at a slower pace and it takes longer to get things done. Tons of the restaurants and bars recommended have since closed, hours are not definite, and a lot of the museums have also changed. Cuba is in flux and for this much money you should add an e-supplement. Finally, titling a chapter "Survival Guide" is some colonialist nonsense. Like, Cuba is second world but many people are happy and thriving. No need to tell the reader how to "survive" in a country with free healthcare.

• I've bought DK Eyewitness Travel Guides for a number of countries I visited in the past so I didn't hesitate to buy the same brand for our upcoming trip to Cuba. I was very disappointed in this book. It's many fewer pages than other DK guides and that was reflected in the brief mention of so many places and things about Cuba. Even though I haven't been to Cuba yet, I knew about a number of places to visit that weren't mentioned in this guide. It's really a very superficial overview, leaving us to frequently say "but tell us more about that..." You also should know that the guide comes from England, a country where residents are free to travel to Cuba without restrictions. As an American with restrictions, I found that some of what was written wasn't relevant.
• I always liked these travel books. But on this one, the font was small & the print was light grey so hard to read. The pictures & maps was excellent as usual. Not sure if I will buy this series again.

• ​First time writing a product review of any kind. However, this book was so immensely helpful that I thought I needed to share my thoughts. I took (and passed) the July 2016 NY bar exam and was also enrolled in a Barbri prep course. After struggling with Barbri's MBE questions, a friend recommended this book. I could not have been more impressed. The questions/explanations in the book were super helpful and detailed. The book does such a great job of explaining the law. It also does a great job in explaining why the right answer is correct and why the others are not. I did every single question in this book and read each explanation. My MBE score improved greatly. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to raise their MBE scores.
• My Barbri prep class just wasn't sinking in as quickly and efficiently as I wanted. I decided to supplement with this book about a month or less out from the bar and boy am I glad I did. I knew the Barbri practice questions were tougher and more nuanced than the actual bar but I was getting poor scores and feeling down in the dumps. Using the practice questions in this book made me feel confident that I knew more than I thought and exposed me to actual bar questions. Doing 20 question sets after reviewing the subject assigned by Barbri that day really helped me prepare. I ended up passing the UBE for my state and feel like this book helped me get there!

• I received this book two days ago and have probably spent about 6-7 hours total with it so far.
  
  It is good. It is helpful, and I would recommend it.
  
  But, I had to stop, mid-study, to write this review because there are numerous typographical errors. There are some that are normal, that you could easily glance over and it would make no big deal, but there are others that affect the outcome of an answer.
  
  Huge confidence blow, and not something you would expect from an $80 book designed to help you choose correct answers, no matter how long and dense it is.
• I bought this book a few weeks before the July 2016 bar exam so I could do extra MBE questions without having to get on my computer for the prep course. The strategies and tactics section was helpful in attacking the question. The extra questions were good practice without having to devote an hour and a half every time I wanted to do a couple of questions. I went with 6th edition over 5th edition because of the 4 year gap between them.
  
  Will revisit in 3 months when I get the exam results.
• I have been using this book to study for the upcoming July 2018 Bar and find the questions and answers very useful in preparing for the MBE. I prefer these questions over BARBRI questions, but do understand that Barbri helps with learning the black letter law whereas this book helps with applying the law. I would not recommend depending on this supplement alone. Do invest in the critical pass cards and a bar prep program to give yourself the best chance at passing the bar. The last thing I want to add, Steven L. Emanuel should update this book in a year or two with newer NCBE problems. I have heard the questions have changed from the ones in the book, but the questions are still great for practice purposes.
• Super helpful! The author helps you recognize what kind of question the test is asking, eliminate "distractor" answers, and choose the right answer to the question. WHY DIDN'T THEY TEACH ME THIS IN LAW SCHOOL? I'm thinking of emailing my former professors and convincing them to teach MBE strategies using this as a textbook.
• I just took the Bar Exam and boy, did that HURT. If you're a poor, unfortunate soul reading this review, then you must be planning on taking the Bar Exam. HA, GOOD LUCK. And you thought law school was bad! The MBE questions were NOT like the ones from this textbook. THANKS, BAR EXAMINERS.
  
  Basically, if you want to torture and delude yourself into thinking you're prepared then you should buy this book. I think I would have been just as well off buying an RBG prayer candle and sacrificing a goat to the Bar Exam Gods.

• Is this book for you? Let me state some questions, each one a little harder than the last. Is your child under the age of 6? If yes, then this book will probably work, if older, I'd really suggest a book for older kids. Are you at your wits end with the yelling, fighting at every turn and constant nagging to get simple things done with your child? If yes, then maybe this book IS for you. Have you noticed your current parenting methods are simply not working? If yes, then possibly, this book is for you. Lastly, the hardest question of all, are you willing to admit that you are most likely the biggest part of the problem with your child's misbehavior? If you can answer this question yes, then this book WILL work for you. But it does require you to dig deep and examine your own past, your own feelings, and your own problems and accept and work to fix them before your child will ever respond to these practices in the book.
  A little background on us I have been struggling with my 2 year old daughter. She is very high needs, she is very stubborn and extremely intelligent. Add her constantly not feeling well from ear infections and eventually a perforated ear drum from tube malfunction, she was just rotten. A few months ago we were headed down an awful road. Tantrums every night, timeouts, me frustrated and angry and feeling like I've been through a war every night after she finally went to sleep. I cried everyday, I loved her but nothing was working, I didn't want to be THAT parent that broke her spirit but she wasn't listening to anything I said, she was getting violent, throwing things, hitting, just all around angry. I started reading this book out of sheer desperation, I was lost and felt completely alone and the ultimate failure. In the few weeks I've started the practices in this book, both Lise and I have done a 180. The tantrums are few and far between, and when they are there, they are short and very manageable. Lise has become affectionate with both her daddy and I. She freely gives kisses and hugs when before she refused any affection. She listens to what I say, she has started playing by herself and not demanding my attention 24/7. It's crazy and wonderful, I understand her feelings better and she's getting better at expressing whats going on and even more, handling her emotions and working through them herself. I just can't say enough, time outs, spanking all that is completely gone in our house. Even the word NO is very rarely used. Lise has started understanding and respecting our limits with little to no toddler stubbornness. She wants to make us happy and I can literally see the confidence building in her. Things aren't perfect, but they are absolutely better.
  At first reading this book, I was like um, no, there is no way that this could work. My wild child will walk all over me when I start this so called "love" parenting. But as I mentioned, I was desperate. I didn't want to spank her, I didn't want to drag her kicking and screaming to timeout, I didn't want to isolate her or be constantly telling her no she can't do that, no she can't do this, no, no, no. I knew deep down what I was doing wasn't right regardless of what family members suggested based on their experiences. They told me to come down hard on her now or she will only get worse. I was angry, she was angry, we both had no idea what to expect from each other that day, so we both went into the day guarded and short tempered. I knew I loved her dearly, and I tried my best to try the old school parenting practices with her but it was only making her worse. Yes, she listened most of the time based on threats when we were out in public or at someones house, but I now know that was only because I was humiliating her and would've done it further by spanking her or forcing timeout in front of people she simply wanted to interact with. I know what you are thinking, she is only 2, 2 year olds don't think on that level, but mine does. I can't speak for yours. Once I'd bring her home, the "old school" practices would break down, and I would be forced to yell, time out, and spank. Tantrums would be hours long, kicking, screaming (screaming on both of our parts) and hitting. The child lived in time out. It simply wasn't working. I was desperate for any alternative, and i thought, well, she is already unmanageable, what more could this do...So I started doing little things as I read them in the book. Before I was even done, I saw changes in her. Dramatic changes. I'm currently on my second round reading it. She wants to listen to us, yes she is a toddler, but often with a simple compromise, or a promise (that is ALWAYS kept on my part) to come back when time allows for whatever activity she is involved in, we can get through just about anything without screaming, or acting like a wild child. We understand each other so much better, we talk, we laugh, we have a blast together...I look forward to continuing this peaceful approach for the rest of her life. I'm sure there will be breakdowns, yelling, but I'm confident that we can work through just about anything together.
• Like my father and his father before him, I was an angry dad. Like my wife's mother and grandmother, my wife was controlling and touchy. Our three kids (13, 11, & 9) were inflicted with our poor parenting and things were getting worse. After a dramatic event at home, I sought knowledge. I found Dr. Markham's blog and read and read and read some more. My wife and I sought out a good counselor to speak with. And I bought this excellent book. Three months later, we have peace in our houme. We are now better parents and getting better all the time. The book sits on my nightstand and even just reading the cover is a comfort and a guide. Stop yelling. Start connecting. It is a JOY.

• This book is eveything I ever hoped for. I grew up in a household where I was constantly yelled at for discipline. As a child, I early on started yelling back at my parents and always hated it, wanting to stop and not knowing how. Then as a parent I saw myself yelling at my daughter, not knowing what to do. I texted a friend asking for a good recommendation on a parenting book and she immediately recommended this one. From there my life has completely changed. Within months I was able to go from yelling multiple times a day to yelling maybe once a month (and forgiving myself for the slip-ups!). I love parenting. I'm constantly connecting with my daughter and really seeing the joys of raising a child. I went from dreading parenting to enjoying being a stay-at-home mom. My daughter (at 2) can now begin to solve her own problems with gentle guidance. She pinpoints her emotions and is empathetic when I feel sad or frustrated as well. What I adore is that the book is based on studies, not just the author's opinion. As I studied Human Development in college, this really appeals to my science-minded mentality. I am so thankful I was recommended this book when my daughter was still very young. My whole family is more peaceful and happier. I cannot even express in words the difference this book made in loving and caring for my child and in loving myself. I only hope it can help your family as much as it helped mine.
• I really like the three big ideas she references throughout the book. She emphasizes the importance of having a strong connection with your child and making sure your child's basic needs are met before you try to teach them. She integrates many different parenting approaches (Love and Logic, The Whole-Brained Child, etc) into one approach, which is nice. I did feel like the book could have been 3x shorter and I would have gotten the same out of it. She has long lists and wordy explanations at times. She also repeats many ideas to the point that by the last chapter, I just started skimming to see if anything new was going to show up. The book needs to be more concise and more carefully structured. This will prevent parents from feeling overwhelmed since her lists contain many do's and dont's of parenting. It can be overwhelming, so while reading the book, I'd suggest staying focused on her three big ideas. It's worth the read.
• 100% changed my parenting style and improved my children's behavior immediately. I wish I would have read this earlier.....
• My book was defective. And I read not even half of it- it was so boring, repetitive, and basically states that our children’s “bad” behavior is ok. It’s not ok- although I do agree on showing them more love and compassion since they are still developing. Another thing they mention is how we are facing our issues with our past childhood- not everyone had a damaging childhood so I don’t know why they talk so much about it. I was really looking forward to this book but I couldn’t get myself to read anymore.

• I must throw in my two cents here. Unlike many of the readers I find the relentless facts thrown out to be quite interesting. The way the author documents what is known about Holmes is excellent. I also agree with those who find his arrangement of these facts to be rather dry but at the same time I find them fascinating. One thing that does throw me, though, is that the author asserts from the start that Holmes did not kill nearly as many people as he is credited with, and later casts doubt on the fact that he could be considered a serial killer at all, and that furthermore when he threatens a man who had complained about debris from his building (Holmes had a pistol and a knife!) and was only saved by a policeman that this is "uncharacteristic" of Holmes. By this point in the book no less than five people had been killed by Holmes, and in its broadest definition serial killer denotes someone who kills either for pleasure or financial gain -- clearly Holmes was at least a sociopath, and the fact that he had no compunction about killing children leads one to believe he was no doubt a serial killer for all practical purposes. It seems the author strains mightily to demythologize Holmes to the point of trying to ignore the fact that he was pretty much a monster of sorts. Worth the read for anyone interested in Mudgett aka H.H. Holmes.
• This is a great read. I had read enough about Holmes to know that Devil in the White City was greatly embellished (it's a great story, nonetheless), and then when Adam mentioned this book while my wife and I were taking one of his tours (the history of Graceland Cemetary - check it and his other tours out on his website Mysterious Chicago), I ordered it right away.
  
  It was fascinating to learn the real history of such a notorious figure, and how the legend of HH Holmes grew over the decades. This book also shows a fascinating glimpse of how journalism and police work was in the late 19th century. I highly recommend this book.
• Extremely dry. Though this book is full of information regarding the life of the notorious H. H. Holmes, it is very boring and after struggling through half of it I lost interest entirety. It is straight forward and fact based, which is good for content but it was so dully presented as to be unreadable. It would be more suitable for reference material than entertainment.

• Probably the best book out there on H. H. Holmes. Adam Selzer cut through all the malarkey and gets the true story out in a sensible way. I truly enjoyed reading it and am reading it a second time so I did not miss something.
• Many hours of tedious research must have gone into this book, but I found it a very slow and tedious read. I bought this book after reading Devil in White City and was anxious to read it over Spring break to learn more about H.H. Holmes. I couldn't stop reading DIWC. I had to keep putting Selzer's book down - too dull for me.
• Well written but a long and tedious read. If you really analyze, only about 75% is really related to the actual killings. The rest is filler, in my opinion.
  If you have insomnia and need to nod off....this is the book. Lots of detail and characters. Be prepared. You will end up knowing a lot more than you probably wanted to.
• Selzer does a good job of laying out a timeline and the facts. So if you're looking for that, you'll find it here. Where the book came up short for me was in the narrative. It became tedious pretty quickly, especially if you've read on Holmes' story in the past. This book would be a good primer for anyone looking for an expository on the details and timeline, as opposed to all that but in a more narrative form such as Devil in the White City.

• A big thank you to NetGalley and Osprey Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Wow was this book intense! It is not a casual sit down book. This is a dissertation or equivalent type writing! This is not for the layman or faint hearted. I couldn't finish it, although I tried several times. I enjoy history but it is not my passion. I honestly couldn't keep the previous researchers straight. They are discussed in a way that made me think I should know who they are, which I don't. I am not sure maybe it's the multiple paragraph footnotes, or that he didn't give a back synopsis of each previous researchers work in a way I could follow. I am sure that this is a well researched book but it is not for the average person. I found it intimidating. I think Hitler buffs and researchers would like but not a great gift for a cousin.

  This book is very detailed and footnoted copiously. The writing is a little dry, but that is the nature of some historical writing. It speaks of all the conspiracies surrounding not only Hitler’s death, but also other key members of the Nazi regime. It lays out the origin of the differing conspiracy theories and why they were disseminated. I enjoyed it, although I did have to take an occasional break now and then.
  
  I want to thank NetGalley and Osprey Publishing for forwarding to me a copy of this interesting book for me to read and review.

• I started reading this yesterday and I’m about half way through. Definitely well written I work in healthcare and this kind of thinking could help a lot of my clients that have lost hope.
• I met Dan 30 + years ago at a family reunion. He is/was married to my cousin Kathy. This was a wonderful journal about his bout with cancer and how his relationship and faith in God sustained him for many more years than the Drs had given him. "Recently I was reminded of the birthday (October 14th) of one of my personal/professional influencers John Wooden. It caused me to pause and reflect on him, his life, and the legacy he left behind through his teachings. For those of you asking, “who is John Wooden”, here is a brief bio.

John Robert Wooden (October 14, 1910 – June 4, 2010) also known as the "Wizard of Westwood," was the men’s basketball coach during UCLA’s dynasty years. Over his career he won ten NCAA national championships in a 12-year period, including a record seven in a row, and his team won a record 88 consecutive games. In 1960 he was the first to be enshrined as both a player and a coach in the Basketball Hall of Fame. ESPN named Coach Wooden the Coach of the Century.

But at his core, Coach Wooden was a teacher. The life lessons he taught and his quotes, known as "Woodenisms", have become legend. Fortunately, he shared his philosophy, credo, witticisms, and his pyramid for success with us all and with generations to come through lectures and books.

I was introduced to Coach Wooden’s teachings years ago and then reintroduced to them again when a manager of mine gave me a copy of the book, “Wooden, A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections On and Off the Court”. I devoured it and once again I was hooked. In it, he lays out his philosophy on life, leadership, success, and personal fulfillment. He teaches through short simple inspirational messages that strike you as both common sense and deeply profound at the same time.

So I pulled out my copy of “Observations and Reflections” full of post-it’s marking key pages and re-read it. My objective being to honor him, but as usual I ended up once again learning from him.

Coach Wooden credits his father (as I do mine) with giving him the foundation for his life. In “Observations and Reflections” he refers to the two sets of threes – direct and simple rules from his father about how you should live your life that his father gave to him on a card.

Set 1:
• Never lie.
• Never cheat.
• Never steal.

Set 2:
• Don’t whine.
• Don’t complain.
• Don’t make excuses.

On the back of the card was his father’s creed, titled “Seven Things to Do”. I’ll let you do some research or read the book to learn them.

I am always struck by how similar his basic life lessons are to those I learned from my own father.

My father a man of few words (or who as my oldest son referred to in the eulogy he gave at his funeral - “a man of few words who somehow could give a one-sentence answer to any question about life no matter how complex”) had his own “rules” or as my children came to know them as “Poppa-isms”. He had many of them, some serious and some funny – but in each one there was a lesson.

Like Coach Wooden my father seemed to have an innate understanding of life that he could express in the simplest of terms. My Father passed away this past year, so I guess when I was reminded of Coach Wooden’s birthday I somehow subconsciously connected the two men in my mind.

Over the years I have gifted Coach Wooden’s “Observations and Reflections” book to friends, to young people graduating from High School and College, and to managers that I have coached (using it as a developmental tool) in my career - - and yes, it was required reading for all three of my children.

Take a moment to acquaint yourself with Coach Wooden and allow the teacher to teach. You might be surprised how familiar some of it sounds. In today’s complex world where at times overthinking things tends to happen, sometimes simplicity is the best medicine. Happy Belated Birthday Coach, and thanks Dad."

  On the back of the card was his father’s creed, titled “Seven Things to Do”. I’ll let you do some research or read the book to learn them.
  
  I am always struck by how similar his basic life lessons are to those I learned from my own father.
  
  My father a man of few words (or who as my oldest son referred to in the eulogy he gave at his funeral - “a man of few words who somehow could give a one-sentence answer to any question about life no matter how complex”) had his own “rules” or as my children came to know them as “Poppa-isms”. He had many of them, some serious and some funny – but in each one there was a lesson.
  
  Like Coach Wooden my father seemed to have an innate understanding of life that he could express in the simplest of terms. My Father passed away this past year, so I guess when I was reminded of Coach Wooden’s birthday I somehow subconsciously connected the two men in my mind.
  
  Over the years I have gifted Coach Wooden’s “Observations and Reflections” book to friends, to young people graduating from High School and College, and to managers that I have coached (using it as a developmental tool) in my career - - and yes, it was required reading for all three of my children.
  
  Take a moment to acquaint yourself with Coach Wooden and allow the teacher to teach. You might be surprised how familiar some of it sounds. In today’s complex world where at times overthinking things tends to happen, sometimes simplicity is the best medicine. Happy Belated Birthday Coach, and thanks Dad.
• If you’ve been present in the twenty-first century you know days have vanished for when coaches were respected as much for their off-court performances as for their success on the court. However, in, A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections on and off the Court brings to light the timeless wisdom of the extraordinary UCLA basketball coach, John Wooden. In honest and telling passages, Coach brings to light his Reflections and Observations about virtually every aspect of his life. Wooden shares his personal philosophy on family, achievement, success, and excellence. Raised on a small farm in Halls, Indiana, he offers the lessons and wisdom he’s learned over the course of his journey through life, being a coach for UCLA, and what he’s as a husband, and being the father of two kids. These lessons, along with personal letters from Denny Crum, and Kareem Abdul-Jabber, have made Wooden A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections on and off the Court, a book for the ages. One of my very favorite parts of this book is the quote, “Always try to be the very best you can be. Learn from others, yes. But don’t try to be better than they are”(Wooden 92). My gymnastics coach uses this idea from the quote a lot during practice. He tells us not to compare ourselves to others but to focus on our success. When you waste all your energy trying to become someone else, you won’t become what you could be. This is what Wooden expressed in the quote, and it struck out to me because of how raw and true it was. If your into books that help create a new sense of confidence or books that can help get you out of something tough, this book is for you! Wooden’s book, A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections on and off the Court, plays more into mental survival rather than physical. He expresses the lessons he’s learned while coaching, and raising a family. He takes what anybody could be struggling with and shares how he handled it and what he learned from it from his personal experience. It has helped others to get through there rough patches. Wooden’s book is full of different lessons he has learned, but in a style where each excerpt is only 3-4 pages long. So if you’re like me, and don’t like to read long passages, this book is for you! Wooden was a very influential person, and that was shown very clearly in this book! So if you are struggling with anything, he may just be your solution.
• The assumption wiuld be to think that this book is about basketball, sports, and athletics or maybe even the author himself. That would be an inaccurate assumption as these were only tools to help illustrate a roadmap to living a life that has truth and purpose. What I received from this book selflessly maximizing your gifts to attain a success that postively impacts and leaves lasting legacy of encouragement for others to do the same. An athletic coach that was really a life coach who shares how he leveraged his life journey experience to the fullest and applies to business professionals, leaders, athletes, coaches, teachers, students, parents, children...literally everyone. Its a book I will refer back to in the context of my life and success apex, God. If you haven't read this book, not just worth the read but worth applying.

« Écoute Samantha ! Tu n’as pas vraiment le choix. Le journal est en plein déficit, et il faut absolument qu’on suive la manifestation des gilets jaunes Tu iras samedi prochain suivre l’acte 22 sur les Champs Élysées. Et ce n’est pas négociable ! »
Putain ! Ça fait cinq ans que je bosse dans ce journal, et depuis tout ce temps, je n’ai toujours pas mon mot à dire sur les événements que j’ai envie de suivre. Mais cette fois-ci, c’est pire que tout, je vais être obligée de faire un reportage sur les gilets jaunes et il va falloir que j’en suive quelques-uns tout au long de la journée, voire même peut-être pendant toute une semaine. Je suis vraiment dégoûtée. À la base, je voulais être journaliste de mode. J’adore m’habiller, et suivre tous les défilés pendant la Fashion Week.
Aurore me répond que ce serait la personne idéale et me file son numéro de téléphone sans hésiter. Après quelques banalités avec mon amie, je raccroche et j’appelle immédiatement le plombier.
Par chance,… ou pas, il est d’accord pour me voir pour que nous puissions parler de mon projet. Mais au fond de moi, je pense plutôt qu’il est tellement content qu’une fille veuille bien lui parler qu’il est prêt à dire n’importe quoi pour me rencontrer. De toute façon, je n’ai pas le choix, c’est la seule piste que j’ai.
Il m’a donné rendez-vous chez lui et cela ne me rassure pas trop mais je prends mon courage à deux mains et je me pointe dans sa ville de banlieue miteuse. J’arrive devant un pavillon délabré dont le portail ne tient que par un bout de fil de fer. Je sonne et un homme moustachu et bedonnant se présente à la porte d’entrée. Il porte un Marcel blanc recouvert de taches de vin et de café. Il me sourit laissant apparaître une rangée de dents jaunes mal alignées. Au moins, il lui en reste me dis-je avec ironie !
« Entrez ma belle ! Vous allez attraper froid. Venez-vous réchauffer à l’intérieur je vais vous faire un bon café. Il vous faut quelques chose de chaud dans le bas-ventre» Me dit-il avec un clin d’œil pour souligner sont allusion graveleuse.
Après quelques banalités d’usage et en essayant de respirer au maximum par la bouche pour ne de pas sentir l’odeur pestilentielle qui règne dans cette baraque, je sors et je retrouve enfin un air un peu plus pur. En marchant pour rejoindre la voiture, je fais le point sur cette journée d’abord mon patron me donne une mission de merde, puis je rencontre le plus beauf des plombiers et enfin, il va falloir que je me gèle sur un rond-point pour recueillir le témoignage de gilets jaunes décérébrés.
Je pense que la journée a été très longue et je mérite de rentrer chez moi pour me faire un bon bain chaud J’ai l’impression que l’odeur de cette maison c’est imprégnée dans mes vêtements et sur ma peau.
Je dépose ensuite une bonne noix de savon liquide sur la paume de ma main. Je commence alors à caresser mon cou puis assez rapidement, je descends vers mes seins. Je passe délicatement mes mains sur mes tétons, puis je commence à faire quelques mouvements circulaires de plus en plus rapides afin que les bouts durcissent. J’attrape alors mes mamelons entre mon pouce et mon index pour les pincer gentiment.
Chaque petite pression me fait soupirer de plaisir. J’imagine qu’un homme me mordille le bout des seins
